Mano Obsidian – Fog Of War
War is inevitable. War is hell. War never changes. Whatever is your favorite quote on the topic of war, its relevant. Hailing from Germany, Mano Obsidian mix energetic, aggressive hardcore with thrashy stuff and modern metal inluences to incorporate the chaos of war. Dispute between Ukraine and Russia is the main fueler, but Mano Obsidian feels World War III is not far too. There are sirens, recited words and other elements to enhance the atmospheric, thematic approach and musically, its all about anger, fear, chaos and panic here. Featuring Fabz Black SCULFORGE, the song World War III is the highlight of this short ep, along with the groovy and meaty Grenades Will Fall. There are also some more melodic elements on Sinner 666 and Fog of War if you’re into that kind of more metalcore guitars in general.
Mano Obsidian is a solo project and Fog of War is his first EP, which is also produced, mixed & mastered by the artist. It has potential, and since its not likely the situation of the world would change soon, I’m sure we’ll hear more from Mano Obsidian as well.
