Helladict – Helladict EP
South America is known for it passion for metal and there is always a new band to be found if you’re into underground, amateur stuff. Helladict is a thrash metal band from Chile, and they play old-school thrash metal influnced by the ’80s. They’ve recently released their self-titled debut EP with three songs: “Sombras,” “Puño Del Hierro,” and “Nuclear War.”
This is purely raw, passionate thrash metal with Spanish lyrics and low-key production. Musically, they don’t bring anything new to the thrash scene but I especially enjoy the South American amateur passion for metal, so I enjoyed their raw Latin approach here. While Puño Del Hierro has some cool grooves and crossover elements, Nuclear War is the heaviest among these three songs and has some extreme metal vibes with low brutals.
Since this is a pure passion effort from three sincere metalheads, there is not much to review or criticize. They’ve reached out to Metalperver, and as always, I’m quite happy to discover a new band. If you’re into South American thrash metal, Helladict worths checking out; the EP is already available on the main digital platforms. Enjoy.
