Niro Knox
Niro Knox is a London based guitarist / singer. Just like the rest of us, he started playing guitar to impress a girl at school but as soon as he listened Slash nailing those soulful solos and passionate songs of GNR, he decided to become a rock guitarist. His musical style is pretty clear and its quite comprehensible from his image: Wavy blond hair, ripped jeans and leather jackets. Yep, we’re back to the 80’s!
There are 6 released songs under his belt so far and each one has the textbook rock dynamics with different vibes and lyrical themes. I especially enjoyed I Don’t Care, which is like a gateway to the 80’s. Its energetic, has a memorable chorus and thats it, I’m out! energy that I reakky relate these days. Its also a good example to see that Niro can sing quite powerfully.
Another hit is Save Me. Title sounds like a ballad but it actually has a different vibe. An inspiration to change and get better through artificial rains and dramatic solos? Shut up and take my money!
I am really enjoying his catalog but in order to sum up, let me say this: If you’re looking for something reminding AEROSMITH, GUNS’N ROSES, BON JOVI and yearn for the 80s/90s rock music in general, give Niro a chance and I’m sure you’ll find some real joy in his songs and feel his passion for the rock music. Nothing fancy, but its real and sincere.
